-THE comeback-

2 games of softball tonight. we lost the 1st...but we played a great game against a really good team and left that loss feeling pretty good. the 2nd game started horribly. i think we were down by at least 10 runs before we even got a chance to bat. i thought after the 1st inning that we would be easily 10-runned in the 5th. BUT, we hung in there, and in the bottom of the 6th we scored 10 runs to tie the game...in the top of the 7th we gave up 8 and again i thought it was over. but we came back and scored 8 runs, all with 2 outs, to tie it up again. the big at bat of the inning? phil kurth. phil comes up with me on 2nd and derek on 1st. 2 outs and we are down 3. phil hits a 3 run homer to tie it. what a huge hit. we finally got the game winning hit in the bottom of the 9th inning. who got it? my uncle rick. hes pushing 50 but he still plays, and apparantly he still has a few huge hits in him. props to rick and to phil, AND to derek for catching all 3 outs in the top of the ninth. 2 good catches...and one GREAT, diving catch that would have been at least a double, probably a triple. i batted 12 times tonight. insane. (3 hours of softball!..im not going to be able to walk tomorrow) i only got out once. so it was a good night at the plate which felt good. 2 homeruns and a whole bunch of other hits. the 2nd game tonight is the highlight of an otherwise brutal fallball season. my guarantee for the night: i will be waking up to some serious leg cramps sometime in the middle of the night. god, i hate those leg cramps.

on a non-softball related note. read this news story. some people arent the brightest bulbs. i give this guy idiot of the month. congrats to you.
